Abstract: Il regista intende proseguire quanto intrapreso dalla giovane artista italiana Pippa Bacca (1974-2008) che in abito da sposa, tentò di fare l'autostop da Roma a Gerusalemme, ma venne violentata e assassinata a pochi chilometri da Istanbul. Il crimine è diventato un affare di stato. Il paese, i suoi leader politici, i suoi burocrati, gli intellettuali, i media, tutti esprimono le loro reazioni provocando l'ira di una gran parte della società che rimprovera loro l'indifferenza di fronte alla macabra ripetizione dello stesso atto su migliaia di cittadine del paese. Bingöl Elmas progetta di riprendere il viaggio dal punto dove ebbe termine quello dell'artista italiana fino a raggiungere la frontiera siriana. Vestito in abito da sposa nero e usando egli stesso la videocamera, seguirà le tracce di machismo, di violenza sessista che attanagliano quella società così come molte altre.
The director intends to continue what was undertaken by the young Italian artist Pippa Bacca (1974-2008) who, in a wedding dress, tried to hitchhike from Rome to Jerusalem, but was raped and murdered a few kilometres from Istanbul. Crime has become a state affair. The country, its political leaders, its bureaucrats, its intellectuals, the media, all expressed their reactions, provoking the anger of a large part of society, which reproached them for their indifference in the face of the macabre repetition of the same act on thousands of citizens of the country. Bingöl Elmas plans to resume his journey from the point where the Italian artist's journey ended to the Syrian border. Dressed in a black wedding dress and using the video camera himself, he will follow the traces of machismo, of sexist violence that grip that society as well as many others.
