Abstract: La popolazione locale della Tanzania è stata sfrattata dai loro villaggi per far posto alla creazione delle riserve naturali più famose del mondo. Ambientato nel famoso Serengeti e nel cratere di Ngorongoro, il film racconta come sono nati i parchi e come le percezioni occidentali sulla natura hanno alterato radicalmente sia il paesaggio che la società dell'Africa orientale. Il film si concentra sulle persone che "non dovrebbero essere lì" mentre l'industria turistica sta rapidamente depauperando le risorse naturali della zona.
Tanzania's local people were evicted from their villages to make way for the creation of the world's most famous nature reserves. Set in the famous Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, the film tells the story of how the parks came to be and how Western perceptions of nature have radically altered both the landscape and society in East Africa. The film focuses on the people who 'shouldn't be there' while the tourist industry is rapidly depleting the area's natural resources.
