Abstract: Il film documenta il lavoro di una pescatrice di vongole nelle piane fangose della costa del Maine. Ampliando il focus proposti in precedenti opere della Lockhart, quali "Lunch Break" (2008) e "Exit" (2008), "Double Tide" descrive una forma di lavoro relativamente invisibile e singolare. Girato nella rara occasione in cui la bassa marea si verifica due volte durante le ore di luce - una volta all'alba e una volta al tramonto - il film ha come soggetto una lavoratrice il cui lavoro viene definito e delimitato dalle forze pił elementari e immutabili della natura.
The film documents the work of a clam fisher woman in the mudflats of the Maine coast. Expanding on the focus proposed in Lockhart's previous works, such as "Lunch Break" (2008) and "Exit" (2008), "Double Tide" depicts a relatively invisible and singular form of labour. Filmed on the rare occasion when low tide occurs twice during daylight hours - once at dawn and once at dusk - the film features a worker whose work is defined and bounded by the most basic and immutable forces of nature.
