Abstract: "La gente spesso ci chiede perché mai abbiamo fatto un film su una gara di pasticceria francese - specialmente dopo aver fatto film su Bob Dylan ("Don't Look Back") e uno sulla politica USA ("The War Room"). Non appena abbiamo incontrato lo chef Jacquy Pfeiffer è diventato chiaro che il concorso per il "Meilleurs Ouvriers de France" non era la solita gara di cucina. I reality show a tema culinario sembravano semplici corsette di riscaldamento in confronto alla maratona di tre giorni del concorso per M.O.F. a cui Jacquy si stava preparando. Diventare un M.O.F. "People often ask us why on earth we made a film about a French pastry competition - especially after making films about Bob Dylan ("Don't Look Back") and one about US politics ("The War Room").
