Abstract: Al centro del film c'è il rapporto tra un padre e un figlio. Il padre in questione, il compositore classico Andrzej Panufnik, è morto nel 1991 e suo figlio Jem, DJ e creatore di musica dance, finora è riuscito a tenere sotto controllo i suoi sentimenti di perdita. Ma qualcosa in lui è cambiato. Seguiamo Jem durante un viaggio in Polonia per scoprire qualcosa di più sulla precedente vita di suo padre. Jem vuole capire le ragioni della defezione di suo padre in Occidente nel 1954, quando aveva circa 40 anni ed era all'apice della fama. Anche Jem ha compiuto 40 anni e, sentendosi messo in ombra dai successi del padre, più famoso di lui, mette in discussione la propria carriera musicale e le proprie aspirazioni.
At the heart of the film is the relationship between a father and son. The father in question, classical composer Andrzej Panufnik, died in 1991 and his son Jem, DJ and dance music creator, has so far managed to keep his feelings of loss under control. But something in him has changed. We follow Jem on a trip to Poland to find out more about his father's former life. Jem wants to understand the reasons for his father's defection to the West in 1954, when he was about 40 years old and at the height of his fame. Jem is also in his 40s and, feeling overshadowed by the successes of his father, who is more famous than him, questions his own musical career and aspirations.
