Abstract: Nella stagione calcistica italiana 2007/08, una piccola società di calcio iscritta al campionato cadetto raggiunge un traguardo storico, impensabile fino a pochi mesi prima: disputare, al termine di una strepitosa stagione, le finali dei Play Off per la promozione in Serie A. Sarebbe la prima volta che una squadra nata dieci anni prima dalla fusione di due contesti distinti e per certi versi rivali si imporrebbe alla ribalta nazionale. La finale disputata su due incontri, a Bergamo e a Lecce nell'estate del 2008, è il punto più alto che l'U.C. Albinoleffe abbia raggiunto nella sua storia, un sogno che la squadra della Val Seriana, nata dalla fusione delle società di due paesi (Albino e Leffe), condivide con i suoi ventimila abitanti.
In the 2007/08 Italian football season, a small cadet football club achieved a historic goal, unthinkable until a few months earlier: at the end of a fantastic season, it reached the Play Off finals for promotion to Serie A. It would be the first time in the top flight; the first time that a team created ten years ago from the merger of two distinct and in some ways rival backgrounds made its mark on the national scene. It would be the first time that a team born ten years earlier from the fusion of two distinct and in some ways rival contexts would impose itself on the national stage. The final played on two matches, in Bergamo and Lecce in the summer of 2008, is the highest point that U.C. Albinoleffe has reached in its history, a dream that the team of Val Seriana, born from the merger of the companies of two countries (Albino and Leffe), shares with its twenty thousand inhabitants.
