Abstract: Secondo il Dipartimento dell'Immigrazione e della Naturalizzazione olandese, la maggior parte dei richiedenti asilo sono cercatori di fortuna che hanno lasciato il loro paese per ragioni economiche e non hanno i requisiti per ottenere l'asilo politico. Il film mostra che l'IND č una macchina ben oliata che opera in linea con rigide procedure definite dal governo, progettate per evitare che il numero di richiedenti asilo diventi ingestibile. Parte del film č ambientata in una missione nel campo profughi Al Tanf, al confine tra Siria e Iraq, dove i rifugiati sono invitati a emigrare nei Paesi Bassi.
According to the Dutch Department of Immigration and Naturalisation, most asylum seekers are fortune seekers who have left their country for economic reasons and do not qualify for political asylum. The film shows that the IND is a well-oiled machine that operates in line with strict procedures defined by the government, designed to prevent the number of asylum seekers from becoming unmanageable. Part of the film is set in a mission in the Al Tanf refugee camp on the border between Syria and Iraq, where refugees are invited to emigrate to the Netherlands.
