Abstract: Nel 1965, Waldo Vieira, medico e medium spiritista che lavorava a fianco di Chico Xavier, scrive il romanzo "Cristo Espera por Ti", dettatogli dallo spirito dello scrittore francese Honoré de Balzac. Molti anni dopo, il libro finisce nelle mani dello psicologo Osmar Ramos Filho, appena arrivato dall'Università di Lovanio, in Belgio. Questi gli dedica 10 anni di studi e, alla fine di questo periodo, pubblica un saggio contenente i risultati delle sue ricerche: "O Avesso de um Balzac Contemporâneo - Arqueologia de um Pasticho". Osmar Ramos Filho evidenzia diversi collegamenti tra il romanzo dettato dallo spirito e le opere originali di Balzac, tra cui un riferimento al pittore olandese del XVII secolo Paul Potter, e la descrizione di un paesaggio che il ricercatore identifica con uno dei dipinti di Potter. In 1965, Waldo Vieira, a doctor and spiritist medium who worked alongside Chico Xavier, wrote the novel "Cristo Espera por Ti", dictated to him by the spirit of the French writer Honoré de Balzac. Many years later, the book ended up in the hands of the psychologist Osmar Ramos Filho, who had just arrived from the University of Louvain, in Belgium. He dedicated 10 years of study to it and, at the end of this period, published an essay containing the results of his research: "O Avesso de um Balzac Contemporâneo - Arqueologia de um Pasticho". Osmar Ramos Filho points out several links between the novel dictated by the spirit and Balzac's original works, including a reference to the 17th-century Dutch painter Paul Potter, and the description of a landscape that the researcher identifies with one of Potter's paintings. This documentary is based on the research of Osmar Ramos and the philological relationships between the text under examination and the work of Honoré de Balzac, especially the novel "La Peau de Chagrin", and comes to unusual and original conclusions.
