Abstract: Un documentario intimo e rispettoso che ritrae un sorprendente uomo di 83 anni. Da giovane, Zheng era un bon vivant che preferiva passare il tempo a giocare d'azzardo e a ballare piuttosto che a studiare. Questo stile di vita esuberante termina bruscamente il giorno in cui viene accusato di comportamento controrivoluzionario e condannato alla prigione. Oggi vive nella sua casa di Huanglin Town dove trascorre la vecchiaia in estrema solitudine. La giovialità di un tempo è scomparsa per sempre e Zheng è divenuto inflessibile con la gente, la società, la storia, il sistema, il destino, l'ambiente circostante e persino con se stesso.
An intimate and respectful documentary portraying an amazing 83-year-old man. As a young man, Zheng was a bon vivant who preferred to spend his time gambling and dancing rather than studying. This exuberant lifestyle came to an abrupt end the day he was accused of counter-revolutionary behaviour and sentenced to prison. Today he lives in his house in Huanglin Town, where he spends his old age in extreme solitude. His former joviality has disappeared forever and Zheng has become inflexible to people, society, history, the system, fate, his surroundings and even himself.
