Abstract: Il film testimonia il fascino del silenzio che regna sovrano lungo i sentieri desolati della Val Grande. Un luogo che resta isolato dal mondo civilizzato, pur essendo a pochi chilometri dalle più importanti città del Nord d’Italia. Alpeggi abbandonati da decenni, sepolti nella vegetazione, come i resti di un’antica civiltà perduta. Attraverso le testimonianze degli abitanti dei paesi limitrofi che fino a mezzo secolo fa popolavano gli alpeggi, e di chi oggi ancora li frequenta, il documentario approfondisce le sensazioni che il silenzio e l’abbandono di queste terre comunicano, giungendo, infine, a sondarne gli aspetti spirituali, lasciando spazio alla suggestione delle immagini e dei racconti.
The film testifies to the charm of the silence that reigns supreme along the desolate paths of the Val Grande. A place that remains isolated from the civilised world, even though it is only a few kilometres from the most important cities in northern Italy. Alpine pastures abandoned for decades, buried in the vegetation, like the remains of an ancient lost civilisation. Through the testimonies of the inhabitants of the neighbouring villages, who populated the mountain pastures up to half a century ago, and of those who still frequent them today, the documentary explores the sensations that the silence and abandonment of these lands communicate, finally exploring their spiritual aspects, leaving room for the suggestion of images and stories.
