"Podwórka" focuses on the courtyards of Łodz, Poland, and the children who live in them. A ubiquitous architectural element in the city, the courtyard is a playground for the children who live in the surrounding apartment blocks. The film is both a study of a specific place and a survey of the resourcefulness of childhood.
