Abstract: Dalla fine della seconda guerra mondiale, la gente di Tanna, isola remota dell'arcipelago di Vanuatu, nel Pacifico del Sud, idolatra un profeta americano che risponde al nome di John Frum. Gli isolani credono che un giorno tornerà a Tanna con ricchezze provenienti dagli Stati Uniti. Aspettando il suo atteso ritorno, venerano la bandiera americana. Isaac l'Ultimo sostiene di essere il figlio di Frum e ha formato un esercito di GI per celebrare il ritorno del profeta John Frum.
Since the end of World War II, the people of Tanna, a remote island in the South Pacific archipelago of Vanuatu, have idolised an American prophet who answers to the name John Frum. The islanders believe that one day he will return to Tanna with riches from the United States. Awaiting his expected return, they worship the American flag. Isaac the Last claims to be the son of Frum and has formed an army of GIs to celebrate the return of the prophet John Frum.
