Abstract: Shelomo Selinger è rinato a 17 anni dopo essere stato colpito da amnesia. Dopo la guerra ha recuperato la memoria e conduce un'esistenza piena e vitale. Ogni mattina raggiunge il suo studio per martellare la pietra o il legno della scultura a cui sta lavorando. Come un metronomo, il suono dei colpo riecheggia nel cortile del suo atelier, a volte accompagnato dal vicino pianista. Shelomo Selinger ci rivela il suo passato e la profondità del suo rapporto con i materiali con cui lavora. I suoi amici e la sua famiglia ci aiutano a tracciare un ritratto di quest'uomo, una forza della natura, determinato, commovente, traboccante di luce, ferocemente celebrativo della vita.
Shelomo Selinger was reborn at the age of 17 after being stricken with amnesia. After the war he recovered his memory and leads a full and vital existence. Every morning he reaches his studio to hammer the stone or wood of the sculpture he is working on. Like a metronome, the sound of the hammering echoes in the courtyard of his studio, sometimes accompanied by the nearby pianist. Shelomo Selinger reveals his past and the depth of his relationship with the materials he works with. His friends and family help us draw a portrait of this man, a force of nature, determined, moving, brimming with light, fiercely celebratory of life.
