Abstract: "Mio padre è seduto sulle gradinate, di fronte alla video camera. Si ode un fischio e lui si irrigidisce, reagendo fisicamente a un'azione che rimane fuori campo, nascosta a noi. Pianta i piedi, ondeggia i fianchi, si appoggia, afferra e fa smorfie, lottando - o forse ballando? - con l'oggetto del suo sguardo" (C. Fairbanks) Il film ritrae il padre di Fairbanks mentre siede tra il pubblico di un incontro di wrestling (apparentemente guardano il regista, che è un lottatore).
"My father is sitting on the bleachers, facing the video camera. A whistle is heard and he stiffens, reacting physically to an action that remains off-screen, hidden from us. He plants his feet, sways his hips, leans, grabs and grimaces, struggling - or perhaps dancing? - with the object of his gaze' (C.
