Abstract: Il regista interpreta attraverso l'estetica cinematografica l'interpretazione di Josef Winkler della sua infanzia cattolica in un ambiente dalla mente chiusa. Attraverso la letteratura, rompe e avvolge i simboli centrali del tema centrale di ogni religione: la morte come punizione di una vita sbagliata e fuorviante, attraverso la decostruzione simbolica, cinematografica ed estetica. Ecco perché il sangue è il portatore simbolico del messaggio in tutto il film: il sangue è il riferimento ibrido della morte e della vita. La trama del film descrive il rapporto ambivalente tra nostalgia e distanza, così come tra desiderio e paura di una religione arcaica ed è in quanto tale una metafora tipologica del discorso filosofico, estetico ed etico dell'Europa sulla religione nel corso della sua storia.
The director interprets Josef Winkler's interpretation of his Catholic childhood in a closed-minded environment through film aesthetics. Through literature, he breaks and wraps the central symbols of the central theme of every religion: death as punishment for a wrong and misguided life, through symbolic, cinematic and aesthetic deconstruction. This is why blood is the symbolic carrier of the message throughout the film: blood is the hybrid reference of death and life. The film's plot describes the ambivalent relationship between nostalgia and distance, as well as between desire and fear of an archaic religion, and as such is a typological metaphor for Europe's philosophical, aesthetic and ethical discourse on religion throughout its history.
