Abstract: Le prime famiglie di Nieuwland a Schiedam, in Olanda, hanno visto cambiare il loro quartiere. Ora sono la minoranza bianca, molti di loro hanno pių di 80 anni. Dopo di loro sono arrivati gli immigrati per i quali Nieuwland č diventata una nuova patria. Per pių di un anno il regista Steef Meyknecht ha lavorato per raccogliere quattro storie diverse nel quartiere, che mostrano un'immagine autentica di questa zona secondaria. Le questioni sociali e politiche assumono di nuovo un volto umano.
The first Nieuwland families in Schiedam, Holland, have seen their neighbourhood change. Now they are the white minority, many of them over 80 years old. After them came the immigrants for whom Nieuwland became a new homeland. For more than a year, director Steef Meyknecht worked to collect four different stories in the neighbourhood, which show an authentic picture of this suburb. Social and political issues once again take on a human face.
