Abstract: Ashraf Al-Khaled stava celebrando il giorno pił felice della sua vita, quando un attentatore suicida di Al-Qaeda ha fatto incursione nella sua festa di matrimonio e ha ucciso suo padre e altri 26 membri della famiglia. Ashraf Al-Khaled si sta rialzando dall'orribile tragedia che ha devastato la sua esistenza ed ha deciso di rompere il silenzio su questo argomento tabł per la comunitą musulmana: parlare contro il terrorismo di matrice religiosa. Il film segue la ricerca di Ashraf per incontrare vittime e colpevoli e valutare il vero costo del terrorismo. Da un reclutatore di Al-Qaeda ad una madrasa (scuola religiosa islamica) piena di ragazzi pronti ad intraprendere la jihad, il film ci porta in un viaggio intorno al mondo per tentare di cambiare le cose.
Ashraf Al-Khaled was celebrating the happiest day of his life when an Al-Qaeda suicide bomber raided his wedding party and killed his father and 26 other family members. Ashraf Al-Khaled is recovering from the horrible tragedy that devastated his existence and has decided to break the silence on this taboo subject for the Muslim community: speaking out against religiously motivated terrorism. The film follows Ashraf's quest to meet victims and perpetrators and assess the true cost of terrorism. From an Al-Qaeda recruiter to a madrasa (Islamic religious school) full of boys ready to wage jihad, the film takes us on a journey around the world to try to change things.
