Abstract: Tra L'Avana e la Sierra Maestra all'est dell'isola, dove un tempo i ribelli iniziarono la loro guerriglia contro l'esercito della dittatura di Batista, incontriamo molti tipi diversi di persone che danno un'idea della loro vita nel socialismo cubano e sostanziano la loro prospettiva su "la revolución". Che si tratti di un contadino, di un custode di un parco, di un operaio di un pastificio, ecc. tutti ci rendono testimoni dei loro successi, dei loro sogni, dei loro problemi e delle loro speranza. Durante il suo viaggio attraverso l'isola, il film attraversa l'arco di 50 anni fino ai giorni nostri - e, a volte, si spinge nel futuro.
Between Havana and the Sierra Maestra in the east of the island, where the rebels once began their guerrilla war against the army of Batista's dictatorship, we meet many different types of people who give an insight into their lives in Cuban socialism and substantiate their perspective on 'la revolución'. Whether it is a farmer, a park attendant, a worker in a pasta factory, etc., they all witness their successes, their dreams, their problems and their hopes. During its journey across the island, the film spans 50 years to the present day - and, at times, reaches into the future.
