Abstract: Il documentario si concentra su cinque vecchi pub locali nella regione belga delle Fiandre. Questi pub un tempo erano il punto di ritrovo dell'intera comunitą, il fulcro intorno al quale ruotava la socialitą. Il passare del tempo ha estinto la clientela e sta per fare lo stesso con le proprietarie, Gisčle, Alice, Julien e Lies: la pił giovane ha 75 anni, la pił anziana 89. Cinque bar locali, carichi di gloriosi ricordi, nel momento in cui si sta avvicinando il giorno della chiusura definitiva.
The documentary focuses on five old local pubs in the Belgian region of Flanders. These pubs were once the meeting point of the entire community, the hub around which sociability revolved. The passage of time has extinguished the clientele and is about to do the same to the owners, Gisčle, Alice, Julien and Lies: the youngest is 75 years old, the oldest 89. Five local bars, full of glorious memories, as the day of their final closure approaches.
