Abstract: Attraverso una conversazione telefonica e un'immagine registrata da una finestra, violenza, trauma e fascino, tre sensazioni ben distinte, entrano a far parte dello stesso immaginario. Data la facilità della registrazione video, l'immagine traumatica entra a far parte del senso estetico quotidiano. Se da un lato cresce l'apatia dello spettatore, dall'altro il rapporto tra trauma e fascinazione diventa un imperativo del dibattito sulla politica dello sguardo.
Through a telephone conversation and an image recorded through a window, violence, trauma and fascination, three distinct sensations, become part of the same imagery. Given the ease of video recording, the traumatic image becomes part of the everyday aesthetic sense. While spectator apathy grows, the relationship between trauma and fascination becomes an imperative in the debate on the politics of the gaze.
