Abstract: Fatma è una ragazza turca di 25 anni. In cerca di una vita indipendente, lontana dalle costrizioni della famiglia e soprattutto di suo padre, è scappata in Italia dove ha intrapreso l'attività di fotografa. Si è innamorata di Davide, un ragazzo italiano col quale convive felicemente. Ma cosa raccontare di questa relazione alla famiglia rimasta in Turchia e all'oscuro di tutto? Dopo anni di silenzio Fatma ha deciso: tornerà ad Istanbul ed affronterà suo padre dicendogli la verità. Ancora oggi nella sua famiglia i matrimoni vengono combinati e suo padre, con quattro figlie in età da marito, è determinato a portare avanti la tradizione. Attraverso il viaggio di Fatma ci immergeremo nell'universo femminile della Turchia contemporanea.
Fatma is a 25-year-old Turkish girl. In search of an independent life, away from the constraints of her family and especially her father, she fled to Italy where she took up photography. She fell in love with Davide, an Italian boy with whom she happily cohabits. But what should she tell her family, who remained in Turkey and in the dark, about this relationship? After years of silence Fatma has decided: she will return to Istanbul and face her father, telling him the truth. Even today, marriages are still arranged in her family and her father, with four daughters of marriageable age, is determined to carry on the tradition. Through Fatma's journey, we immerse ourselves in the female universe of contemporary Turkey.
