Abstract: Durante gli anni Novanta, il calcio affronta una mutazione genetica. Diventa spettacolo, un genere di intrattenimento che cessa di seguire le logiche sportive per adottare quelle dello show business. Nelle occasioni che godono della massima copertura mediatica esso si muove con l'intento di colonizzare ogni spazio e tempo, sia nelle calendaristiche che sui mass media, fagocitando così la realtà del calcio minore, ancora fedele agli ideali originari. Il caso degli Ultras della Lebowski è un caso probabilmente unico nel panorama delle tifoserie calcistiche, non soltanto italiane; un gruppo di ragazzi che ha deciso di parteggiare per la squadra che risulta ultima in classifica nell'ultimo campionato federale. Per questa tifoseria, la squadra del Lebowski incarna i valori del tutto assenti nel calcio blasonato.
During the 1990s, football underwent a genetic mutation. It becomes spectacle, a genre of entertainment that ceases to follow the logic of sport and adopts that of show business. On occasions that enjoy maximum media coverage, it moves with the intention of colonising every space and time, both in the calendar and in the mass media, thus engulfing the reality of minor football, still faithful to its original ideals. The case of the Lebowski Ultras is probably unique in the panorama of football fans, and not only in Italy; a group of youngsters who decided to side with the team that was last in the standings in the last federal championship. For this fan group, the Lebowski team embodies values that are completely absent in emblazoned football.
