Abstract: Una ragazza e un ragazzo, entrambi neri e poveri, vivono in una delle favelas pių violente della periferia di Rio. Irlan e Isabela vogliono entrambi ballare. L'ambizione di entrambi e poter lasciare il Brasile per unirsi a una delle grandi compagnie del nord. Per loro, la danza č una via d'uscita, una fuga, e sul palco, un'estasi, che raramente si prova nella loro vita quotidiana. Questo documentario narrativo segue questi due talentuosi adolescenti durante l'anno che potrebbe realizzare (distruggere?) i loro sogni per il futuro.
A girl and a boy, both black and poor, live in one of the most violent favelas on the outskirts of Rio. Irlan and Isabela both want to dance. The ambition of both is to be able to leave Brazil to join one of the big companies in the north. For them, dance is a way out, an escape, and on stage, an ecstasy, rarely experienced in their daily lives. This narrative documentary follows these two talented teenagers during the year that could realise (destroy?) their dreams for the future.
