Abstract: Il giapponese Kunizo Matsumoto non sa né leggere né scrivere, eppure ha inventato una forma di scrittura bella ed enigmatica. L'americano George Widener, capace di memorizzare gli eventi degli ultimi 1500 anni, può anche prevedere il futuro, che annota nei suoi quadrati magici. Fernand Desmoulin, incisore francese, disegna senza luce mentre gli spiriti guidano la sua mano. Il ceco Zdenek Kosek sta seduto per settimane, guardando attraverso la finestra, senza bisogno né di di cibo né di sonno. "Rouge ciel" racconta la storia di questi artisti fuori dalla norma, visionari che infiammano i nostri spiriti e scuotono le nostre idee. Queste donne e questi uomini sono riusciti a superare i loro destini, spesso tragici, grazie alla creazione artistica. Presenta anche le interviste a scrittori, filosofi, psicologi ed esperti d'arte che hanno influenzato lo studio dell'Art Brut.
Japanese Kunizo Matsumoto can neither read nor write, yet he invented a beautiful and enigmatic form of writing. American George Widener, able to memorize the events of the past 1,500 years, can also predict the future, which he notes in his "magic squares." Fernand Desmoulin, French engraver, draws without light as spirits guide his hand. Czech Zdenek Kosek sits for weeks, looking through the window, needing neither food nor sleep. "Rouge ciel" tells the story of these artists outside the norm, visionaries who inflame our spirits and shake our ideas. These women and men managed to overcome their often tragic fates through artistic creation. It also features interviews with writers, philosophers, psychologists and art experts who influenced the study of Art Brut.
