Abstract: La documentarista Astrid Bussink torna nella città dove ha studiato alla scuola d'arte e da cui si è trasferita il 13 maggio 2000, giorno in cui la città fu colpita da un enorme disastro pirotecnico che uccise 22 persone e lasciò quasi 1.000 feriti. La Bussink si trasferisce in un appartamento con vista sul memoriale del disastro e cerca di venirne a capo. Riempie lo spazio con foto e video del disastro, iniziando con le fotografie da lei scattate ai resti fumanti della sua casa. Parla con le vittime e con la famiglia di André de Vries, il principale sospettato che alla fine del processo è stato dichiarato non colpevole. La donna rimane sempre più invischiata nelle varie teorie che cercano di ricostruire l'accaduto.
Documentary filmmaker Astrid Bussink returns to the city where she studied at Art School and from which she moved on 13 May 2000, the day the city was hit by a huge firework disaster that killed 22 people and left nearly 1,000 injured. Bussink moves into a flat overlooking the disaster memorial and tries to come to terms with it. She fills the space with photos and videos of the disaster, starting with photographs she took of the smouldering remains of her home. She talks to the victims and the family of André de Vries, the main suspect who was found not guilty at the end of the trial. She becomes increasingly entangled in the various theories that try to reconstruct what happened.
