Abstract: I nani sono apparsi per la prima volta in Polonia negli anni '80. Dopo l'introduzione della legge marziale, i muri della Polonia portavano slogan antigovernativi come: "Non c'è libertà senza Solidarność (Solidarietà)". Le autorità ci dipingevano sopra - tutta la Polonia era improvvisamente coperta di macchie bianche. Fu allora che il maggiore Fydrych ebbe l'idea geniale di dipingerci sopra dei nani. In seguito, i nani lasciarono i muri, uscirono per le strade e cominciarono ad organizzare manifestazioni sotto lo slogan "Non c'è libertà senza nani". La polizia disorientata arrestò i nani con i cappelli arancioni. Il comunismo aveva raggiunto gli estremi dell'assurdo. È stato così che i nani hanno contribuito alla caduta del comunismo. Quando è iniziata la "rivoluzione arancione" in Ucraina, i nani polacchi si sono presi la responsabilità di sostenerla.
Dwarfs first appeared in Poland in the 80s. After the introduction of the Martial Law, walls in Poland bore anti-government slogans such as: "There's no freedom without Solidarność (Solidarity)." The authorities were painting over them - all of Poland was suddenly covered with white spots. It was then that Major Fydrych had an ingenious idea to paint dwarfs on them. Next, the dwarfs left the walls, went out onto the streets and began to organize happenings under slogans "There's no freedom without Dwarfs." The disoriented police arrested dwarfs in orange hats. Communism had reached the extremes of absurdity. It was in this way that dwarfs have added to the fall of communism. When the "Orange Revolution" began in Ukraine, the Polish dwarfs took it upon themselves to support it.
