Abstract: Sovietici, mujahedin, talebani e in ultimo gli american: tutti hanno lasciato sul suolo dell’Afghanistan mine e terribili ordigni esplosivi con cui la popolazione civile deve fare i conti da ormai venticinque anni. HAbiba e Shah, marito e moglie, sono stati entrambi mutilati da mine antiuomo, non hanno nessuna educazione scolastica e rappresentano in modo eloquente lo stato del paese. Pressoché impossibilitati a trovare qualsiasi tipo di lavoro, sono però capaci di interpretare, con disillusione e fiducia al tempo stesso, tutti gli avvicendamenti di potere che visto la loro nazione. Senza gridarlo, vivendo e affrontando le enormi difficoltà quotidiane, lanciano un appello contro ogni guerra e contro armi che continuano ad uccidere anche dopo molti anni.
Soviets, Mujahedon, Talibans and ultimately the Americans: they have all left landmines and horrific explosive devices on Afghan soil with which the civilian population has had to live for twenty-five years. Habiba nd Shah, husband and wife, have voth been mutilated by anti-personnel mines, they have had no schooling and they are an eloquent representation of the state their country is in. Virtually unable to find any kind of work, they manage to interpret with both disillusionment and hope all the alternating power shifts their nation has seen. Without yelling, but by living and tackling the enormous difficulties of everyday life, they appeal against all war and against arms that still continue killing after many years.
