Abstract: Sucua - Ecuador - novembre 2010. Frédéric, un francese di 44 anni, si incontra al mercato con Ricardo Tsakimp, sciamano Shuar dell'Amazzonia. Da 7 anni, Frédéric viene regolarmente qui per imparare lo sciamanismo della grande foresta. Ricardo è la sua guida, dopo essere stato il suo salvatore. Colpito dal cancro, Frédéric si sottopose a chemioterapia per sette mesi. Di fronte all'avanzare della malattia la medicina occidentale si rivelò impotente. Decise allora di incontrare gli sciamani-guaritori della grande foresta. Tornò a casa dieci giorni dopo, completamente guarito. Durante la guarigione, Frédéric ha aperto una porta che, fino a quel momento, era rimasta invisibile. Non si torna dalla morte uguali a quando si è partiti. Da allora Fréderic incontra Ricardo regolarmente. Senza volerlo, in maniera quasi incosciente, ha cominciato la sua formazione sciamanica. Il film testimonia questo progressivo insegnamento, sintetizzandolo nel tempo del racconto.
Sucua - Ecuador - November 2010. Frédéric, a 44-year-old Frenchman, meets at the market with Ricardo Tsakimp, a Shuar shaman from the Amazon. For the past 7 years, Frédéric has been coming here regularly to learn the shamanism of the great forest. Ricardo is his guide, having been his savior. Stricken with cancer, Frédéric underwent chemotherapy for seven months. In the face of advancing disease, Western medicine proved powerless. He then decided to meet with the shaman-healers of the great forest. He returned home ten days later, fully recovered. During the healing, Frédéric opened a door that, until then, had remained invisible. One does not return from death the same as when one left. Since then Frédéric meets Ricardo regularly. Unwittingly, almost unconsciously, he began his shamanic training. The film bears witness to this progressive teaching, synthesizing it in the time of the story.
