Abstract: "Quando si filma da vicino un uomo di potere per un lungo periodo chi è, tra i due, il vero regista? Questa è la domanda che mi pongo guardando, vent'anni dopo, le immagini dei 5 film che ho realizzato, tra il 1989 e il 1993, su François Mitterand. In questo mio nuovo film, il presidente diventa il Principe che incarna il potere universale. La rappresentazione del potere come il regista la immagina e come il Principe mette in pratica. Tra i due: una lotta incessante e senza vincitori". (H. Le Paige)
