Abstract: A cento anni dal terribile terremoto del 28 dicembre 1908 che distrusse Reggio e Messina, questo documentario, ricco di spezzoni di film dell'epoca, rievoca quei terribili 30 interminabili secondi, che oltre a causare quasi 100.000 morti, cambiò il corso della storia delle due città dello stretto. Toccanti i racconti di numerosi sopravvissuti che hanno rievocato quei terribili attimi che furono fatali per tanti concittadini.
One hundred years after the terrible Dec. 28, 1908, earthquake that destroyed Reggio and Messina, this documentary, filled with film clips from the time, evokes those terrible 30 interminable seconds, which not only caused nearly 100,000 deaths but also changed the course of the history of the two cities on the Strait. Touching are the accounts of numerous survivors who reenacted those terrible moments that were fatal for so many fellow citizens.
