Abstract: Tre anni fa a Neel è stato diagnosticato un cancro gastrico ed esofageo. Da allora è stata sottoposta a cure mediche continue. Oggi Neel ha interrotto il trattamento oncologico ma, paradossalmente, si sente in forma. Neel sa che le cellule tumorali nel suo corpo cresceranno di nuovo. Entro pochi mesi, forse metà anno, saranno così diffuse da provocarne la morte. Suo marito Mark (57) e i suoi figli, Sanne (28), Wannes (26) e Judith (17), cercano di godersi il miglioramento delle sue condizioni di salute il più a lungo possibile. Seguiamo la famiglia durante gli ultimi mesi di vita di Neel. Il film mostra come, tutti insieme, gestiscono una situazione difficile e conflittuale.
Three years ago Neel was diagnosed with gastric and esophageal cancer. Since then she has undergone continuous medical treatment. Today Neel has stopped cancer treatment but, paradoxically, she feels well. Neel knows that the cancer cells in her body will grow again. Within a few months, perhaps half a year, they will be so widespread that they will cause her death. Her husband Mark (57) and her children, Sanne (28), Wannes (26) and Judith (17), try to enjoy the improvement in her health as long as possible. We follow the family during the last months of Neel's life. The film shows how, all together, they handle a difficult and conflicting situation.
