Abstract: La seconda guerra mondiale separò due giovani, Bernie ed Ellis, costretti alla clandestinità. Si promisero reciprocamente che avrebbero tenuto un diario ciascuno. Dopo la scomparsa di Bernie, a metà della guerra, Ellis, con il cuore spezzato, accetta di sposare un altro uomo. La mattina del giorno del matrimonio le arrivò un pacco contenente il diario di Bernie. Sopraffatta dalla svolta degli eventi, Ellis seppellì il diario nella valigia e partì per la Palestina, dove iniziò una nuova vita. Per 65 anni il diario è rimasto intatto, fino ad oggi. Seguendo le informazioni riportate del diario, Ellis ha deciso di incaricare un detective di scoprire cosa è successo a Bernie.
World War II separated two young men, Bernie and Ellis, who were forced into hiding. They promised each other that they would keep a diary each. After Bernie disappeared in the middle of the war, Ellis, heartbroken, agreed to marry another man. On the morning of her wedding day, a package arrived containing Bernie's diary. Overwhelmed by the turn of events, Ellis buried the diary in her suitcase and left for Palestine, where she began a new life. For 65 years the diary has remained intact, until today. Following the diary's reported information, Ellis decided to commission a detective to find out what happened to Bernie.
