Abstract: Dodici anni dopo essere stato ordinato sacerdote, Romuald Waszkinel scopre di essere nato da genitori ebrei e che il suo vero nome è Jakub Weksler. L'uomo si trova improvvisamente ad essere sospeso tra due mondi: prete della chiesa cattolica polacca o ebreo osservante? Si tratta evidentemente di due identità che non possono coesistere, ma Weksler/Waszkinel non si convince a rinunciare a nessuna delle due. Il film lo segue nel suo incredibile viaggio che ha come prima tappa celebrare messa in una chiesa in Polonia per poi condurre una vita da ebreo osservante in un kibbutz religioso in Israele.
Twelve years after being ordained a priest, Romuald Waszkinel discovers that he was born of Jewish parents and that his real name is Jakub Weksler. The man suddenly finds himself suspended between two worlds: priest of the Polish Catholic Church or observant Jew? These are clearly two identities that cannot coexist, but Weksler/Waszkinel is not convinced to give up either. The film follows him on his incredible journey that has as its first stop celebrating mass in a church in Poland and then leading a life as an observant Jew on a religious kibbutz in Israel.
