Abstract: Oltre 350.000 bambini rumeni vengono lasciati a casa da soli perché uno o entrambi i genitori lavorano all'estero, in Italia, Spagna e altri paesi dell'Europa occidentale. I bambini vengono affidati a parenti oppure ai vicini di casa. Molti di questi bambini hanno commesso o tentato il suicidio. Come si puň spiegare questo fenomeno? Cosa pensavano questi bambini che temevano di aver pesto tutto? Il film racconta tre storie di bambini che si sono tolti la vita. Lo stile osservativo si mescola con le interviste mentre il film si intreccia tra loro personaggi, inclusi i genitori che hanno condiviso il loro profondo dolore ma anche le loro opinioni su ciň che ha causato la tragedia.
Over 350,000 Romanian children are left home alone because one or both parents work abroad, in Italy, Spain and other Western European countries. The children are entrusted to relatives or neighbours. Many of these children have committed or attempted suicide. How can this phenomenon be explained? What were these children thinking when they feared they had stepped on everything? The film tells three stories of children who took their own lives. The observational style is mixed with interviews as the film weaves together characters, including the parents who shared their deep sorrow but also their opinions on what caused the tragedy.
