After the much-publicised departure of NBC's hosting of 'The Tonight Show' and the sudden break-up of a 22-year relationship with the US television network, Conan O'Brien took his music and comedy show on tour to 32 cities. The 'Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour' was his response to a contractual clause that prohibited his appearance on television, radio and the Internet for six months after his last show. This documentary offers an intimate portrait of an artist with great talent as an improviser, captured at the most 'improvised' moment of his effervescent career.
