Abstract: Nel 2009 è iniziata la corsa a piedi più dura e lunga del mondo, con una media di 70 km al giorno, 64 tappe totali, nessun giorno di riposo, per un totale di 4.500 km dal sud Italia fino a Capo Nord, in Norvegia. Le notti si trascorrono in palestre, asili o bagni utilizzando materassini propri, non ci sono squadre di accompagnamento, né strade chiuse durante lo svolgimento della gara. Non si tratta solo di essere in perfetta forma fisica, ma anche di gestire il carico psicologico. L'unico atleta professionista in gara ha 58 anni. Il film lo accompagna insieme a una delle più veloci ultramaratonete del mondo, un barbiere di Tolosa, un padre di famiglia affetto da sclerosi multipla, una casalinga di Tokyo e due ufficiali svedesi.
In 2009, the world's toughest and longest foot race began, with an average of 70 km per day, 64 stages in total, no rest days, a total of 4,500 km from southern Italy to the North Cape in Norway. Nights are spent in gyms, kindergartens or bathrooms using their own mats, there are no accompanying teams and no roads closed during the course of the race. It is not only a question of being in perfect physical shape, but also of managing the psychological load. The only professional athlete in the race is 58 years old. The film accompanies him together with one of the fastest ultramarathon runners in the world, a barber from Toulouse, a family man suffering from multiple sclerosis, a housewife from Tokyo and two Swedish officers.
