Abstract: Questo documentario racconta la storia straordinaria ed enigmatica di Jacques Foccard, considerato il Mister Africa dai presidenti francesi De Gaulle, Pompidou e Chirac. Ha gestito una rete misteriosa e proteiforme nell'Africa sub-sahariana indipendente, che è stata, per 15 anni, il suo campo d'azione. Ha creato una linea diretta tra Parigi e le 14 capitali delle colonie africane. La storia è raccontata da persone che hanno vissuto all'epoca e dagli archivi e solleva una grande questione di politica internazionale: cosa ha fatto la Francia in Africa nell'arco di 40 anni?
This documentary tells the extraordinary and enigmatic story of Jacques Foccard, considered the "Mr. Africa" by French presidents De Gaulle, Pompidou and Chirac. He ran a mysterious and protean network in independent sub-Saharan Africa, which was, for 15 years, his field of action. He created a direct line between Paris and the 14 capitals of African colonies. The story is told by people who lived at the time and from the archives and raises a big question of international politics: what did France do in Africa over 40 years?
