Abstract: Un ritratto intimo e suggestivo del batterista Michal ‘Gier’ Giercuszkiewicz, la cui maggior ambizione č di riuscire a comporre e registrare un album di musica originale. Č una promessa che Gier ha fatto al mondo e a se stesso tre decenni fa. Afflitto da dubbi, finora non ha ancora mantenuto il suo proponimento. Ma il sogno non si č esaurito. Il musicista spera di registrare il suo opus magnum nella casa di campagna autocostruita, in un angolo remoto della Polonia, l'isolata regione montuosa di Bieszczady. Il film segue Gier - un eroe affascinante e che non teme di mostrare le proprie debolezze - in quello che potrebbe essere il suo ultimo tentativo di trovare una realizzazione creativa.
An atmospheric intimate portrait of drummer Michal “Gier” Giercuszkiewicz whose lifelong ambition has been to compose and record an album of original music. It’s a promise that Gier made to the world and to himself three decades earlier. A promise which, plagued by self-doubt, he is yet to deliver on. But the dream does not end there. The musician hopes to record his opus magnum in his self-built rafthouse, in a remote corner of Poland – the secluded mountain region of Bieszczady. The film follows Gier – a hero that is both fascinating and unafraid to show weakness – through what might be his final attempt at finding creative fulfillment.
