Abstract: Una storia d’amore tra due persone trans - Samira Elagoz e Z Walsh - in uno slideshow di screenshot, foto in posa e attimi catturati. Tanto basterebbe per descrivere questo cortometraggio che, nella sua natura intima e diaristica, sembra appartenere ad un archivio privato. Di tutte le vicende private però, l’amore, in virtù della sua natura relazionale e desiderante, è quella più squisitamente politica. In una relazione, capita che, mentre si diventa luogo del desiderio dell’altro, si ha la fortuna di compiere una trasformazione che è anche un ritorno verso sé stessi. Se il corpo trans è un campo di battaglia continuo in una società etero-normata, l’amore diventa a maggior ragione il luogo in cui deporre le armi. Un autoritratto di corpi innamorati dove, nello stesso perimetro, convivono il sangue, le ferite, la sabbia fine di una spiaggia, un velo da sposa, la nostalgia, la tenerezza.
A love story between two trans individuals – Samira Elagoz and Z Walsh – told in a slideshow of screenshots, posed photographs, and captured instants. Enough to describe this short film that, in its intimate nature reminiscent of a diary, seems to belong to a private archive. But of all private stories, love, owing to its relational, desiring nature, is the most exquisitely political. In a relationship, it may happen that, while you become the focus of the other’s desire, you’re lucky enough to undergo a transformation that is also a return to yourself. If the trans-body is a continuous battleground in a heteronormated society, all the more love becomes the place in which arms are laid down. A self-portrait of bodies in love in whose perimeter coexist blood, wounds, the fine sand of a beach, a bride’s veil, nostalgia, and tenderness.
