Abstract: In una piccola città della Boemia settentrionale, un sindaco costruisce un muro lungo il quartiere tzigano. Gli abitanti si ribellano e distruggono il muro, simbolo e arcaismo dello status di zingaro nell'Europa post-comunista. Nel cuore delle famiglie rom, scopriamo la loro lotta quotidiana contro il razzismo violento. Confidano la loro nostalgia del comunismo e le persecuzioni naziste che hanno subito. Sono europei da secoli, ma rimangono stranieri nel loro paese. Estranei interni.
In a small town in northen Bohemia, a mayor builds a wall along a gypsy quarter. The inhabitants rebel and destroy the wall, symbol and archaism of the Gypsy status in post-communist Europe. In the heart of romani families, we discover their everyday struggle against violent racism. They confide their nostalgia of communism as well as the Nazi persecutions they have suffered. They have been European since centuries, but remain strangers in their own countries. They are Inside Strangers.
