Abstract: Questo documentario affronta stereotipi consolidati entrando nelle vite di tre donne. Con onestà, intelligenza e umorismo, Nancy, Simone e Gloria riflettono sulle loro esperienze di tentare di tenere in equilibrio la maternità da single, la loro vita lavorativa, le relazioni e la realizzazione dei loro obiettivi nel contesto di una società da cui spesso vengono giudicate con severità. Intrecciando queste storie intime, il documentario offre una comprensione più profonda delle sfide, delle strategie pratiche e dei sogni di tre donne resistenti e, in effetti, sono numerose le madri single nere in Canada.
This documentary confronts established stereotypes by entering the lives of three women. With honesty, intelligence and humour, Nancy, Simone and Gloria reflect on their experiences of trying to balance single motherhood, their work lives, relationships and achieving their goals in the context of a society by which they are often judged harshly. By interweaving these intimate stories, the documentary offers a deeper understanding of the challenges, practical strategies and dreams of three resilient women, and indeed, there are many black single mothers in Canada.
